DRUG ISSUES
Adolescence is known as a time for trying new things. Teens use drugs for many reasons, including the need to feel accepted as well as curiosity, because it feels good. A teen may experience with drug abuse as a way to reduce stress, or to feel grown up or to fit in. It is difficult to know which teens will experiment & stop, and which will develop serious problems. For further help on determining the severity of your teens potential drug addiction, we give you the list below; on the left column it gives the drug, and right across we have provided a means of determining how harmful the drug is, and perhaps knowing when to get help.
Nots: All drugs are harmful, but our KEY for severity is based on a knowledge that your teen has been experimenting for at least 3 months or more. (MODERATE - SERIOUS - GET HELP NOW)
